Three Seminarians to Graduate this Month
St. Nersess Armenian Seminary continues to prepare leaders for the Armenian Church in North America. Since its establishment, St. Nersess has graduated outstanding young men and women who are serving the Armenian Church faithfully as priests and educators for the Dioceses of North America. Three seminarians will graduate from St. Nersess on May 29. His Eminence Abp. Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern) and President of the St. Nersess Board of Directors, will preside at the graduation. Dn. Vahe Bagdasarian, who is originally from Istanbul, will be graduating from the Armenian Church Studies Program at St. Nersess Seminary. In the fall, he will begin an internship as a pastoral assistant at St. Leon Armenian Church in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Kathryn Ashbahian, who is from NJ, will receive her Master of Arts degree from St. Nersess and St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminaries. In the fall, Kathryn will work at the Eastern Diocese in the Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries. Arpi Nakashian, who was born in Jerusalem, will receive her Master of Arts from St. Nersess and St. Vladimir’s Seminaries. She will work at the Eastern Diocese in the Department of Christian Education.
“We are proud of their accomplishments and look forward to the fruits of their education and training in service to the Armenian Church,” commented Fr. Mardiros Chevian, Dean. The public is invited to attend the graduation ceremony honoring our three seminarian graduates. Evening service begins at 5:30pm, followed by the program and reception.
