Summer Conference Alumni Spotlight

Recently, the seminary embarked on a campaign to reconnect with summer conference alumni. We interviewed two alumni, Steve & Rena Megrdichian, who are members of the Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church in Providence, RI. Find out how St. Nersess has influenced their lives!
Question 1:
What year/session did you first attend a St. Nersess Summer Conference?
A:I attended Deacon’s Training and Liturgical Music the summer of 1986. Steve attended the High School Summer Conference 1982.
Question 2: How have you stayed connected to or currently support the seminary?
A: We continue to support the seminary as not only alumni, but also we take a personal interest to maintain the mission of the seminary founder, our Great Uncle Archbishop Tiran Nersoyan, of blessed memory. St. Nersess is a cherished home for many and we support its programs.
Question 3: Have your children attended a Summer Conference?
A: Mari and Garen have both attended Summer Conferences and Garen also continues to attend the Deacon’s Training each summer.
Question 4: How did your St. Nersess experience help you become active in your local parish?
A: With growing up in the church and becoming a part of our local church programs, it’s natural to continue working within our church sharing our time and talents. Being a part of our church is like caring and nurturing your own home. We don’t know what we’d do without our church families!
