Student Completes Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program

After nine transformative months in a part-time Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program at McLean Hospital mental health treatment center affiliated with Harvard Medical School, Dn. Arman Shirikyan officially graduated last week.

Attending the ceremony was Fr. Khachatur Kesablyan, pastor of Sts. Vartanatz Armenian Church in Chelmsford, MA, who has been his mentor during his studies in the St. Nersess the Great Program for the Late Vocations. His family was also in attendance.

“In a beautiful coincidence, this milestone happened to fall on the same day a new Pope was elected—marking a day of both personal and spiritual significance,” shared Dn. Arman.

Dn. Arman will be graduating from St. Nersess on Friday, May 16. Two more seminarians – Dn. Arin Parsanian and Dn. Karo Boyadzhyan – will participate in a full-time CPE program over the summer, as required by the seminary.
