St. Nersess Welcomes New Administrative Assistant and Bids Farewell to Librarian

St. Nersess Armenian Seminary is pleased to welcome Lucy Krikorian as its new Administrative Assistant and extends heartfelt gratitude to Leo Janigian, who recently concluded his service as Seminary Librarian.
Lucy brings more than 30 years of experience in college textbook publishing, where she served as an Art Director. She is a member of the Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs in Bayside, Queens, and is married with two adult children. She and her husband recently celebrated the joyful arrival of their first grandchild. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to support St. Nersess Armenian Seminary, a rare and special community and a cornerstone in the continuation of the Armenian Church,” said Lucy.
As Lucy begins her new role, we would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dottie Bengoian, who faithfully served as Administrative Assistant for the past ten years before happily embarking on her second retirement. Dottie’s warmth, humor, dedication, and faithful service have been a blessing to the Seminary community. We look forward to honoring her this fall and sharing a more detailed tribute to her many years of service at that time.
The Seminary also thanks Leo Janigian for his dedicated service in the seminary library. During his time at St. Nersess, Leo helped care for the Seminary’s unique theological collection while contributing to the life of the Seminary community.
“I am grateful for my time at St. Nersess Seminary,” Leo shared. “I was met with a kind and welcoming community from the moment I arrived. It was a truly unique experience, and the knowledge and skills I gained working in such a library cannot be replicated elsewhere. I hope to stay involved in the future and wish everyone at the Seminary all the best.”
Leo will be pursuing full-time opportunities closer to his home in Rhode Island and plans to continue his career in an academic library setting.
We warmly welcome Lucy to the St. Nersess family, thank Dottie for a decade of devoted service, and wish Leo every blessing and success in his next chapter.
