Seminarian Diaconate Ordination

On Sunday, September 8, Arman Shirikyan, a current seminarian, was ordained to the holy order of the diaconate by His Grace Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan, Primate of the Eastern Diocese.
Family, friends, seminarians, and parishioners filled Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church in Chelmsford, MA, to witness the ordination. Fr. Khachatur Kesablyan, parish priest, was Dn. Arman’s sponsor and mentor. Other clergy present were Fr. Arshen Aivazian, Fr. Tateos Abdalian, and Fr. Mardiros Chevian, dean.
“Being ordained as a Deacon instills a profound sense of sacred responsibility—to be a vessel of Christ’s light, carrying His truth and love to the next generation,” professed Dn. Arman. “This sacred journey, sustained by the grace of God and the support of many faithful souls, has deepened my desire to serve the Lord’s Church with humility and devotion, ever mindful of the eternal calling of priesthood.” A celebratory banquet followed in the church hall.
