With the blessing of Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese and Vice-President of the St. Nersess Board of Directors, the Rev. Fr. Mardiros Chevian, dean, traveled to Burbank, California on March 10-12, to attend the RECLAIM Faith Rally & Christian Conference. Held at the Western Diocese diocesan headquarters, the three-day conference offered spiritual presentations by 19 presenters with diverse backgrounds to hundreds of youth and parishioners from Western Diocese parishes.

On Saturday, March 11, Fr. Mardiros presented on the topic “Is God Calling You?” during three separate sessions, and also was available to speak with participants at the St. Nersess booth, which offered brochures and information on the seminary and its programs. Other topics by various presenters included, “Faith in Action: Ethics in the Workplace”, “Making the Bible Alive in Our Lives”, and “The Call of the Holy Spirit and Transformation,” which was presented by the Rev. Fr. Tateos Abdalian from the Eastern Diocese and a St. Nersess graduate.
Assisting Fr. Mardiros throughout the weekend was the Rev. Fr. Yeghishe Ksachikyan, a 2011 graduate of St. Nersess Seminary and the pastor at St. James Armenian Church in Sacramento.
