Preaching Program Launches

St. Nersess Online will be launching its Preaching Program on November 1 with its inaugural pilot workshop at the seminary. The first module will be presented to the first six clergy participants who are already busy preparing for the all-day session. The workshop leader will be Fr. James Hamrick, well-known for his homiletics and preaching excellence in the Orthodox Church, while the mentors for this workshop will represent both the Eastern and Western Dioceses. As part of the launch of this new program, which was fully funded by the Lilly Endowment’s Compelling Preaching Grant awarded to the seminary late last Fall, a new logo was developed. The logo references old Armenian illuminated manuscripts and design elements, including the “trchnakir” S and N merged together in Armenian known as the art of “gabakrootioon“, with colors that are derived from the Armenian tradition. Stay tuned for more information on the rollout of St. Nersess Online!
