Ordination of Dn. Timothy Aznavourian

St. Nersess is proud to announce that Dn. Timothy Aznavourian, a 2020 graduate, will be ordained to the Holy Order of Priesthood by His Grace Bishop Daniel Findikyan on May 28 – 29. Both the Service of Calling to the Priesthood and Ordination and Consecration will take place at St. Mark Armenian Church in Springfield, MA, where Dn. Timothy has been serving as the Deacon-in-Charge earlier this year. The Rev. Fr. Shnork Souin will serve as the sponsoring priest and Mr. Ralph Rafaelian as the godfather of the ordination.
“St. Nersess has prepared me for my upcoming ordination by providing me with a group of amazing academics and professors versed in our ancient Armenian Christian tradition. From the liturgical life of the church, learning both modern and classical Armenian languages, as well as pastoral skills, it is my belief that St. Nersess is the institution equipped, ready and willing to prepare students for service and priesthood in the Armenian Church in North America,” stated Dn. Timothy.

Timothy will spend 40 days in seclusion and prayer at St. Nersess Seminary before returning to St. Mark Church as the new pastor. We pray that he, and his wife Julianne, have a fulfilling and successful ministry.
