The Armenian Church is rich in its music and literature. St. Nersess Armenian Seminary is proud to begin offering some of the Church’s unique liturgical services, hymns and writings. Check back often for updates.

DAILY SERVICES

Evening Service (Abbreviated) (Երեկոյեան Ժամ (համառօտ)
This version of the Evening Service is slightly abbreviated. It is the version used during the St. Nersess Summer Conferences. The service lasts about 10-12 minutes and includes the Armenian text, transliteration and English translation.

Evening Service Structure (Outline) (Երեկոյեան Ժամ )
This is an outline of the complete and unabridged Evening Service. Use it as an aid to learning the sequence of the service.

Outline of the Night Service (Գիշերային Ժամ)
This is an outline of the complete and unabridged Night Service. Use it as an aid to learning the sequence of the service.

Outline of the Morning Service (Առաւօտեան Ժամ)
This is an outline of the complete and unabridged Morning Service. Use it as an aid to learning the sequence of the service.

Night, Morning and Evening Services Booklet (abbreviated) (Գիշերային, Առաւօտեան, Երեկոյեան Ժամեր (հաառօտ)
A booklet containing slightly-abbreviated versions of the Night, Morning and Evening Hours of the Armenian Church as they are conducted during the St. Nersess Summer Conferences. Side-by-side pagination contains the Classical Armenian text and transliteration on the left-hand page, and the English translation on the right-hand page.

The Midday Services of the Third, Sixth, and Ninth Hours of the day are sometimes referred to as the “Little Hours” or the “Voghormyayk,” from the first word of Psalm 50(51) [“Have mercy”], with which each of these short services begins.
