Donated Founders Garden Sculpture

When the new seminary campus was consecrated by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, on November 11, 2016, a beautiful bust of Archbishop Tiran Nersoyan was unveiled in the Founders Garden. Tiran Srpazan was the first Dean of St. Nersess Armenian Seminary and its founder.

The artist behind this sculpture is Yn. Yefkin Megherian, who gifted it in memory of her late husband. “I sculpted the bust of Archbishop Tiran Nersoyan out of my love and respect for a fatherly leader of the Church and donated it to St. Nersess Armenian Theological Seminary in memory of my husband, Fr. Vartan Megherian, his first ordinand in America,” commented Yn. Yefkin.

St. Nersess appreciates this original piece of artwork that is admired by all who walk through the Founders Garden. The garden was donated by Dn. Charles and Grace Pinajian.
