Dn. Mkrtich Ksachikyan Ordained into the Holy Priesthood

On Sunday, January 25, His Eminence Abp. Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, ordained and anointed Dn. Mkrtich Ksachikyan into the holy priesthood, renaming him Fr. Yeghishe. The ordination took place at St. Leon Armenian Cathedral in Burbank, CA, in the presence of community, family, and guests from around the country.  Fr. Yeghishe is spending his 40-day period of seclusion at St. Nersess Seminary in New Rochelle, NY, after which he will return to take up pastoral duties at St. James Armenian Church in Sacramento, CA. Fr. Yeghishe is newly married to Yn. Tatevik (Vardanyan) and is a 2011 graduate of St. Nersess Armenian Seminary.
