Compelling Preaching Grant Zoom

On December 11, Arpi Nakashian, who is directing our Compelling Preaching Grant, joined a Zoom with recipients of other Lilly Compelling Preaching Grants from North America.

During the discussion, Arpi and other directors shared their institutions’ preaching program plans with one another. This included the heart of each program, what they have learned so far during the implementation of their individual grants, various challenges and obstacles they have encountered, and how each can build a robust list of resources related to preaching.

“This was a great opportunity provided to the grant directors to learn about other institutions and their goals when it comes to preaching across various denominations,” shared Arpi. “Despite some of the various needs in each community, we have a lot of similar necessities that we need to tackle throughout the implementation of our individual grants. We are learning from one another as we focus on the most important aspect of all: preaching the Good News of our Lord Jesus.” She will continue to attend gatherings organized by the Compelling Preaching Coordination Team and other opportunities given to grant directors by the Lilly Endowment Inc.
