Altar Servers Ordained at St. Leon Armenian Church
On Sunday, November 30, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Diocesan Primate, visited St. Leon Armenian Church in Fair Lawn, NJ, where he celebrated the Divine Liturgy and ordained three St. Nersess seminarians and one parish altar server. Recent St. Nersess Seminary graduate Saro Kalayjian was ordained to the diaconate, and seminarians Levon Asdourian and Eric Vozzy were ordained to the sub-diaconate. Fr. Daniel Findikyan, Fr. Mardiros Chevian and St. Nersess seminarians assisted in the ordination service.
Following the church service, the parish hosted a luncheon in honor of the newly ordained altar servers. Remarks were made by Fr. Mardiros, who he spoke about the mission of the seminary in preparing young men and women to serve the Armenian Church of America.
