ST. NERSESS ARMENIAN SEMINARY LIBRARY

Library is Open to the Public by appointment only. Please call 914-273-0200 to speak with Leo Janigian, librarian.

Library patrons are invited to search our OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog).

In late August 2024, the seminary welcomed Leo Janigian as a new member of the seminary community. He will serve as the part-time librarian in the seminary’s library. Leo received his Master of Library and Information Studies, School Library Media degree from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston in May 2023. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY. Mr. Janigian resides in Cranston, RI, and is a member of Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church in Providence. He will travel to the seminary three days a week to support the students and faculty.

“We have been searching for quite some time for a qualified librarian for our seminary, since the untimely passing of our previous librarian Aida Pisani,” stated Fr. Mardiros Chevian, dean. “We are pleased to welcome Leo into our seminary community and are certain that he will be an asset to our students and faculty. That he is a librarian who also is a member of the Armenian Church is a big plus.”

“I have already had a chance to get familiarized and begin adding to the extensive collection of Armenian resources here in the library,” shared Leo. “I am excited to continue building the collection and support both students and faculty in their studies throughout the semester.”
