A Note of Thanks to the Western Diocese

The seminary is grateful to the Most Reverend Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of America and Vice-President of the St. Nersess Board of Directors, for initiating a fundraiser this past November to raise much needed funds for the seminary. The gala celebrated the 125th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian Church of North America and St. Nersess Seminary. On this occasion, St. Nersess alumni clergy serving in the Western Diocese were also recognized.

Two Western Diocese seminary board members, the Rev. Fr. Sarkis Petoyan who is an alumnus and pastor of St. Gregory Armenian Church in Pasadena, and Margaret Mgrublian, led the efforts as co-chairs and are currently planning for the next event in 2026. Special thanks to Margaret and her hardworking and energetic committee members for their time and dedication in organizing the memorable event.
